The newest addition to Ketchum’s culinary scene, Scout Wine & Cheese will play host to this year’s symposia, a curated series of four seventy-five minute wine tastings on a range of topics. Your flight of four varietals will be hand-picked by the Scout team to showcase a specific region or winemaking technique and guided by a keynote expert. From the garden patio overlooking Ketchum’s town square, ticket holders will enjoy a casual but delicious (and educational!) tasting in the finest of company.

Chris Salvatierra of S&C Wines Talks Natural Wines

A certified Sommelier who spent many years in the Napa Valley wine industry, Chris Salvatierra has returned to the Wood River Valley, bringing with him years of knowledge and wide-ranging expertise. His session will highlight some of the techniques and philosophies behind natural winemaking.

Chris Olmstead of Hayden Beverage Co. Talks Piedmont 

As a chef in a previous life, Chris studied abroad in Piedmont and fell in love with Italian wines. Now a resident expert, Chris will share his stories about – and abundant enthusiasm for – this special region and its delicious, coveted wines.

The Scout Crew Talks Pairing Wine & Cheese

Join Scout’s cheesemonger and wine director Amie Marvel for a special session on the fundamentals of pairing wine with cheese. Amy will demonstrate some key combinations and important things to consider when shopping or entertaining. This flight will include a tasty bite or two!

Neil Grant from Vinspire Talks South African Wines

Former President of the South African Sommelier Association, Neil Grant has long been revered as one of South Africa’s finest wine experts and restaurateurs. Now a resident of Boise, Neil will guide you through some of South Africa’s most exciting and unique wine producers. Not to be missed!
