Where Wine Flows Like Water: A Rafting Trip Along the Salmon River with Phifer Pavitt Wine & Middle Fork Rafting

Enjoy camping under the stars as you paddle your way down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River on this gorgeous 3-night, 4-day rafting excursion courtesy of Phifer Pavitt Winery and Middle Fork Lodge. Join Vintner Suzanne Phifer Pavitt and 7 of your closest friends in discovering the rugged beauty of the Frank Church Wilderness, a 2.3 million acreage nestled in the heart of central Idaho. This one-of-a-kind river experience accommodates 8 guests and includes chartered airfare for your party, in addition to food and wine pairings for all meals.

On the first morning of your adventure, jump on board a chartered flight from Sun Valley to the remote Indian Creek Airstrip. After a brief orientation led by your river guides, launch the rafts and hold on! Epic whitewater, calm fishing flats and hiking all await. Ten miles downriver, you’ll stop at the exquisite Middle Fork Lodge for afternoon refreshments and a tour of the property. The last strokes of the paddle will bring you to your camping spot for the evening, where food and wine will flow.

The next three days will be filled with Class IV rapids, day hikes, cultural sites and the chance to catch that trophy rainbow trout, all while delighting in rare vintages and small production wines hand-selected by Vintner Suzanne Phifer Pavitt set to a gorgeous menu and a view money can’t buy.

Just four days on the river is enough to change a person: here, in the heart of the undiscovered American West, you’re guaranteed to find your highest self.
